How Essential Oils Can Affect Mood

I have personal experience with depression and can attest to the power essential oils can have with this. Simply put a drop of the essential oil of your choice in the palm of your hands, cup around your nose and inhale. My favorite essential oils for this are Wild Orange, Elevation, Balance, and Lavender.


What do you mean Christmas only comes once a year?!

Now I don’t mean true Christmas, but rather a small aspect that is associated with Christmas.


Each month I go to the mailbox, and I once again feel like an overly eager child rushing down the stairs to see what surprises lie under the tree for me. Now instead of clothes or brightly painted toys, I get delicious smelling, health elevating little bundles of joy. These are none other than products offered by doTERRA.

This month I got their newest products that were just released at the beginning of October. We’re all guilty of it

I absolutely adore this quote because lets face it, it is so true!

We were all created with different skills and little quirks to make us unique individuals.

What talents do you have that few, if any see?

I’d like to challenge you to start implementing your talents everyday in some form or fashion. It doesn’t have to be dramatic, but something small everyday. If you keep taking a small step everyday before you know it you will have made huge progress!


This is me taking one step at a time. I am not where I want to be yet, but I can not let that stop me from moving forward so that I can one day (soon:]) be there.

Find those people out there (if you don’t already have them) that will hold you accountable to your goals. It is up to you to decide each day if you want to move forward or backwards, but it sure is nice having those people there to cheer you on along the way!

A Question to Ponder Over Morning Coffee

I’d like to pose a question to you that my teacher asked us earlier this morning.

I was quite surprised when I walked in to the class expecting to learn how to connect with a patient (I mean I thought the class was titled patient/practitioner relationship for a reason) and my professor goes, “Get ready to learn a lot about yourself this quarter.” So I guess I shouldn’t have been too shocked when the first activity was to take out a sheet of paper and write about who you are for about 10 minutes.

So…Who are you?

Some of you may know exactly who you are and think of the question often, while others of you have never had the thought cross your mind before.

I had only written several pretty general points about myself, assuming we would have to share with the class and I was amazed at what people gathered about me from my “general points”. Some of these included dabbles in a little bit of everything, has the world on her shoulders, etc. The thing is they were all right.

I encourage you all to take a few minutes and reflect. Don’t think too much, just write and see what comes up for you. It is pretty cool to see how you perceive yourself and as a result how your peers will see you as a result.
